4th of September with audacity

Hello! So yesterday was Thursday; which is my least favourite day of the week. Urgh, Thursdays are just a no-no. Well, except for yesterday.
Yesterday was probably the greatest day so far, and i'm not even kidding. I honestly didn't expect the day to turn out so good. It was amazing really. Just amazing.
Anyway, i know some of y'all are curious about what made yesterday so special. Thus, i'll be as detailed as possible ;-)
As you already know, apart from the teachers' day celebration that occured in the morning, there was also another event that took place- Graduation Ceremony (for all Sec 4s & Sec 5s).

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION
Honestly, this was the very first Teachers' Day celebration i've ever watched in my secondary school life. This is mainly because I'm always performing from Sec 1 onwards (be it for CCA / Koreotics / Peer Leaders). Originally, Hannah, Huda & I were supposed to perform for this year again- because it would've been our last chance to perform/make a mark on stage (HAHA) before we leave BDS.. But, there wasn't enough time because sec 4 life us just so stressful and we just ended our prelims recently & we just didn't have enough time to prepare all the music & choreography together so yeaaaaaah screw it.
But it's okay i guess, i actually enjoyed watching the performances put up by the sec 1s-3s especially Rozalynn & Jun Xiang's, Adrian/Calvin/Julius/Shaun's band, Balqis (the solo singer), and the dance with Hannah/Marissa/Janelle/Jim/(& more but idk) inside hehe it was cute, and the PL/prefects' one as well :) GOOD JOB GUYSSSSS!! Y'all put up a great show ^-^

hehe ofcourse we had to show appreciation to the best teachers evarrrr right? so since it's probably our last teachers' day in BDS, me & diyanah decided to make cards for some teachers we really really <3. (it was also the first time i'm doing cards for teachers harhar- it's not that i don't want to, it's just that i lack creativity n stuff) (for mrs kow/ mrs djie/ mr lim/ mrs liau/ ms marinah/ ms dichen & ms hani)
GRGADUATION CEREMONY 2014
While the rest of the students get dismissed, all sec 4s & 5s were asked to stay back (for the graduation ceremony duh). SoOOoO the ceremony was quite fun. There was a video on how A L L of the sec 4s & 5s changed from sec 1 till now. IT WAS BLOODY EMBARRASSING LA HAHAHAHA but it was a joy to watch!! :') It was pretty cool to be honest, becausethe video went by classes. Then it slowly showed each & every one of the students's passport photo from sec 1-4. Each slide had like 3-4 students on it, so it was really clear n stuff (idk if you can imagine it but.. yeah). It was extremely funny la :'-((((( HAHAHAHA. I wonder who made that video. Must've taken ages to complete!!

Also, it was quite motivating too. LET'S ALL COMPLETE THE RACE TOGETHER!! jkjk i'm way behind & i need to catch up on alot of things but it's okay "you can't fail unless you give up" so ya #keepgoing #keeplookingforward #igotthis :)))
oh oh and also, the teachers are extra nice that day so HOOORAY :)

STEP UP ALL IN:
After the graduation ceremony & after taking photos with some people, Diyanah, Huda, Hannah & I went home to bathe/change/wtv and met again at bedok to watch STEP UP ALL IN at bugis (5pm slot for all u kpo people).

i doubt most of you are unaware of my love for STEP UP movies. actually, i'm an avid hardcore fan from the very first Step Up movie in 2006. I think it was the first dance-based movie i've ever seen & it's the movie that inspired my passion for dance. it's one of those movies that changed your life. hmm, i remember the first movie of Step Up impacted me so hard that dance became one of the very few reasons i live for.

When i heard about the news that there'll be another Step Up movie earlier this year I WAS SO HYPED. & now i've watched it, i must say... ALL THOSE MONTHS of waiting are so worth it because the movie was amazeballs and i'm still not over it :((((( if you're a dance enthusiast then U BETTER WATCH IT. even if you're not that into dancing, lose the "ugh" attitude, get your ass to a nearby cinema, grab a popcorn and a cup of coke & JUST WATCH IT.

ANYWAY, when i planned to watch the movie & asked Hannah/ Diyanah/ Huda, everyone was hesitant. Don't have money la lazy la got doctor's appt la tired la I DUNNO WHAT. Before i head out, i was actually worried that this "outing" won't turn out fun. It'll be lame/awkward/waste of time. I was really scared about how it'll turn out :( Thank god everyone decided to give in and come for the movie :") IT WAS AMAZINGLY FUN and it was def opposite everythign that i thought it would be. :')

LOOK AT MY MOOSE!! all grown up now :')

i am inlove with this dance. look at briana evigan KJFHSKJFHSD
 AFTERMATH

After the movie, we walked around bugis mall. Window-shopping for awhile. Then DING DING DING we decided to go to Haji Lane to take an insta-worthy picture. I've only been to Haji Lane once with Huda & it was last year- actually we just happened to walk past Haji Lane hahaha. It was Diyanah & Hannah's first time there though. So we walked there, & yes you guessed it!! We got lost. :-) Like fml we walked aimlessly for 30mins. Then we went out the main road because we gave up looking for Haji Lane, walked for 2minutes & TADA we found haji lane. so yeah fml. We didn't bother taking pictures because we lost the vibes.
(this might start to get confusing thus i'd write caption for every picture)
window shooping at adidas (bugis mall)
going down the escalator (bugis mall)
we were at the bugis st bus stop & the pillar (u know that pillar for advertisments at EVERY bus stop??) had this camera thingy so... WELL... yeah this happened. we SHOULD be embarrassed we were doing it in public with a large crowd (bugis st is always packed with people) but fjkjask whatever- this things don't happen everyday

SURVIVING APOCALYPSE
This is when things started getting complicated. When we lost the vibes to take insta-worthy pictures at Haji Lane, we saw Pan Pacific. Hannah said that it was near suntec, so we decided to walk to Suntec for dinner. Anyway, Hannah's google map didn't show a route to Suntec from where we were, but we decided to ignore it because since Pan Pacific was there, we THOUGHT that there is a way but google map just won't show it.. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WERE WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We started walking towards the Pan Pacific building that was clearly visible but we started feeling the eerie vibes because there were so many trees and there weren't any nearby stoplights/ bus stops or whatever. we just kept walking and walking and walking- determined to make it to suntec. Surprisingly, we finished the entire journey in less than an hour- eventhough it felt like 5hrs. So we walked more. And more. and moreeeeee until we realised that we were at the endless highway/expressway bridge that will lead to Bedok (i think it's the ECP expressway/highway/whatever you call it). Ofcourse we didn't want to walk to bedok- so we went under the expressway, through some forest (with really long & damp grass), and crossed 2 highways/express ways/ busy roads without any nearby stoplight ;-; furthermore, it was at night so.. yeah i understand the risk that we were taking back then but what can we do? go back to the forest at that hour (it was pitch dark)?? what if we encounter some snakes?! D": there were also no other way to get to suntec other than that.. so... we dashed across like adrenaline junkies- running for our dear lives.

this was us walking aimlessly beside the ecp highway (before we realised that we were going the wrong way)

this was us walking through the forest
This was the last highway/expressway we crossed. this is the kind of "go hard or go home" situation. well okay not really. but opposite this road was suntec mall/promenade mrt already. there was absolutely no nearby stoplights or pedestrian crossing (well duh it's an expressway). we were honestly reluctant to cross at first because it was an extreeemely busy road (it was a huge road, thank god it was separated into 2 parts.) we had to climb over n metal barriers though which was extremely uncomfy for me since i was wearing a skirt but i couldn't give a shit or two because hellOooOo it's a life & death situation- who gives a damn whether they see your panties or not?!

it was a close shave but..

WE MADE IT!!!

& then there's us running for our dear lives
once again i repeat, we made it!!!
After we crossed, we started screaming like we just survived an apocalypse. we hugged each other and did some retarded ritualism thingy (or was it just me who felt that) & idk what. I was honestly in a daze at that moment. We nearly got banged by a car, but for some reason, all of us were left unharmed. Also, i've never felt happier and alive before. Who knew that this kind of thing would occur? I certainly didn't. I believe that each & every one of us (huda, diyanah, hannah & me) felt a moment of ecstasy and satisfaction. It was truly an incalculable moment. That 1 hour of pandemonium and torment turned out to be the one of the most remarkable days of my 16 year old life.
i think this is how we reached suntec? i'm not too sure if this was the route we took, but you can gauge how it went. as you can see, those "empty" parts are most likely the forests that we went through. And that orange road/expressway (the circled one below) was the last one we crossed (the one in the photos above) :")
Anyhooooo, we started hunting for food in Suntec. It took us 45 minutes to finally settle for McDonalds' and we've never felt so relieved to see it before :') Primarily because we don't usually feel a sense of remedy whenever we see Mcdonalds' in every other day because it's literally everywhere in Singapore.. but wah we were so glad to find one after the inferno (hell) we've been through :') We shall appreciate the existence of McDonalds' more now! ^-^

Oh look it's us when we finally reached Suntec. The aircon felt so great <3

went "shopping" for awhile before eating @ mac hehe

after eating, we decided to go home
oh & there were seats but not enough for all of us thus we decided to sit on the floor. we were damn tired & drained la so please let us be :')
walao, i asked everyone to do ugly faces & this happened. efjsjd knn u all cb
tired af but HAPPY

To end it all, yesterday was really unforgettable. It might be "extravagant" and a waste of time for some/most of you, but it was more than that for me. The day was really well-spent. I couldn't think of any better ways to spend it. From teachers' day celebration, to the graduation ceremony, to watching step up all in, to getting lost in haji lane, walking non-stop beside the ECP expressway, going through forests at night, crossing expressways... these things don't come everyday, i'm thankful for having an opportunity to spend such an amazing day with my bestfriends. Like really, the best of my bestfriends. Diyanah (now known as Nanamon), Hannah, & Huda. I swear to god y'all are worth far more than diamonds to me.
