Sentosa Adventures! // Dad's 41st

ALOHA MY FRIENDS. Welcome back to my blog! This is probably one of / if not the MOST exciting post so far this year (also the one that took the most effort)!! Speaking of this year, is it me or is 2015 passing by too quickly??! It's really scary how the 8th month is already ending like WOAH it still feels like Feb to me. 

Anywaaaaaaaaaay, back to this blogpost- If y'all (idek who"yall" refer to- i doubt anyone would actually bother to read my blogposts except um.. me) keep up with my other social medias (insta/twitter), then you should probably know about my "perfect weekend getaway" from 21st-23rd August. Since Singapore is literally a little red dot, there's really not a lot of exciting places to have a "staycay" at. FRET NOT, MY GOOD PEOPLE OF EARTH, SENTOSA IS HERE TO SAVE US. #SentosaIsOurSalvation (okay i'm sorry for my lack of humour) (jk i'm actually really funny- ask my friends). But yes jokes aside, Sentosa is practically the happiest place in Singapore and it's the closest one can get to having dem "summer vibes" *WHEN I MET U IN DA SUMMER dundundundun TO MA HEART BEAT SOUND denenene*

The main reason my family (oh ya i totally forgot to mention that I was with my family- oops my bad) decided to head over to Sentosa for the weekend was actually because of my dad's 41st birthday (21st Aug). SHOUTOUT TO MY DAD (who will probably never get to read this) I LOVE YOU DAD.

Wow those previous paragraphs are actually meant to be the introduction but um i'm pretty sure i did it wrongly but HEY at least i don't have any speling mistaks so far! Life is grate!!! 

» MOVING ON «

My parents booked a 3D2N chalet hut at Costa Sands Resort Sentosa, just for the sake of having a place to sleep because we have like, an entire list of funfilled activities for the 3 days. Jk. As soon as we reached the place at about 3.30pm-ish, both my parents were sleepy so they went to sleep. My brothers & I were like NUH NIGGUH WE DIDN'T COME ALL DA WAY TO SENTOSA TO TAKE A POWER NAP AW HELL NAW I'M GONNA EXPLORE THIS CUTE ISLAND AND DISCOVER WHAT I WANNA BE WHEN I GROW UP. okay, jk again, that was too far-stretched but those were my exact thoughts tbh. (if you must know, i'm typing all these at 3.27am so.. yeah please pardon me, i drank too much caffeine and um it's kinda affecting my intelligence) (not like there's much to begin with anyway) (OUCH i just burnt myself) (ooOOo).

I shall not bore the life out of you by talking too much, so i'll just put some photos below & um yeah scroll down mah homie~

So remember when I told you i decided  to take my brothers on a journey to a better life while my parents went to sleep? YEP we basically went to Siloso beach & McDonald's afterwards because dAYUM SG should be on the cover for "The Scorch Trials" amayrayt or naw??

We went back to the hut afterwards (it was 6pm-ish), and wooo my parents finally woke up from their slumber!! We went to Malaysian Street Food for dinner (the one right beside uss) & the food there is quite affordable & it was decent too \(^.^)/

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD!!!

THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS ARE TAKEN ON 23RD AUGUST (our last day in Sentosa)!! I didn't bring my dslr to USS because it's such a burden :( But don't worry though, my mom took loaaaaads of selfies using her phone & monopod. The photos will be at the later part of this posto stay tuned!

We went to Port Of Lost Wonders (near Palawan beach) on our 3rd day, it's kinda like a wet waterpark but just for kids! So.. yknw as you'd expect, i didn't swim or anything. My brothers had the time of their lives though, and of course my parents had to accompany them because they're too young to be left alone (duh).

While my entire family (except me) were busy getting wet (winkwink), i was just alone with no company for like 2-3hrs BUT THAT'S OKAY. I had my dslr so um yeah me being me, i took tons of photos ^-^ i kinda spammed my snapchat too whooooops

During those 2-3hrs that i was all alone without anyone to talk to (my text buddy/ best friend aka ben was asleep *smh*), taking selfies was simply not enough to kill boredom. Therefore... (prepare your anus) the wanna-be beauty guru/blogger in me was unleashed :( I had my "make-up pouch" with me then, so i was like HEY WHY NOT I DO A "WHAT'S IN MY POUCH" SERIES OF PHOTOS?! 

dumb idea, i know. But pUH-LEASE don't judge, i was extremely bored :(

Anyway, here are the main products I use on my face/hair whenever I go out. 

this is just the summary of all the products, exluding my concealer which looked too ugly to be photographed (I'M SORRY, CONCEALER!!)

I use this as my sunscreen. Okay here's a funny story, I only put sunscreen on my face (because it's summer in sg 24/7), so my previous sunscreen was running out so i bought this from the drugstore thinking it was sunscreen. I mean cmon it says "perfect protect" and "spf 50" and like "light texture" so im like yay this is the perfect sunscreen!! But when i got home, i realised that it was actually just a make-up base ._. what even is a make-up base?! don't people use primer before they apply their foundation?! i know nothing when it comes to make-up, so please pardon me. I still use this product as my sunscreen, but as a make-up base, it was literally useless for me because I don't even have any make-up/nor do i know how to apply it. so yes i refer to this as my sunscreen. end of story. 

Now this is my legit sunscreen- but in powder form ^-^ i have no idea where this is from, my mom just gave it to me.. or did i take it from one of her drawers.......

THIS IS MY HAIR CREAM THINGY FROM SUNSILK (duh).
 i barely use it because.. where got time? but yea i shall make it a point to use it more often because my hair needs more luvin :( my hair is reallyyy dry guys :( 

this is my/my mom's facial cooling mist! you just spray it on your face when you're feeling hot and ya that's basically it. tbh i don't find it that special, it's basically just like spraying water on ur face :| so yep i barely use this too o.o 

FINALLY, a product that i actually use on a daily basis. this is my lip balm (as y'all can see). it's like one of the more common lip balm brands out there and yep i use it on a daily basis. i apply it on my lips every night before i go to bed, to just keep it moisturized because i hate hate hate having chapped lips, and i also apply them on whenever i go out. 

i love lurve luv lav this lip tint. this is my newly bought cherry lip tint from Innis free! this is the 2nd bottle i have ever owned. SHOUTOUT TO SHANELLE FOR GIVING THIS TO ME LAST YEAR AS A SOUVENIR FROM KOREA!! love you shanelle. I use this liptint quite often, it just adds more life to my face and it can also be used on your cheeks as a blusher (but don't put too much or you'll look O.O) 

Okay *phew* glad that girly gay stuff is done & over with. I love you if you're still reading this. :')

Looking back at all these photos, my "perfect weekend getaway" may not be much to some, or even deemed pathetic to a few as it isn't as luxurious as going on a holiday in Bali/Hawaii/London/anywhere else in the world, but where you go doesn't really matter when you're with your loved ones. My family doesn't go out much, so this little holiday means the world to me.

NOW, FOR SOME LIFE REFLECTION.

I learned a lot during those 3 days. I realised how important my family is to me and how family-orientated i really am. I appreciated my parents a lot more and I bonded with my brothers even more (i think i also became a better sister). Overall, i think i just started to appreciated life more? As a teen, it's really quite normal for us to think that the world is cruel/unfair. Like come on- how often do you see people on twitter talking about how shitty their life is? how many friends do you know attempted suicide? I know a few, and i'm sure you do too. I used to think that life wasn't really worth living because you just get hurt no matter what you do. However, during those 3 days that i was "away" from my typical fast-paced & stressful life, I was able to put all the negativity aside & just.. breathe. On my 2nd day there, I walked around Sentosa alone from 11pm-1am. I sat on the beach listening to really nice, calming songs, then i walked to Imbiah station and yeah, just kinda wondered around aimlessly. The breeze was perfect, and I was able to feel at ease. It was a really beautiful moment. omg i'm starting to sound so emotional now but really, y'all should try taking a stroll by the beach/at the park when the sun goes down (but stay safe, please). i shall not prolong this anymore and just end it here.
