*My not so sweet 16th

Sweet 16th, it sounds magical, doesn't it?
Well to be honest, i dreamt of spending my 16th birthday just a day before, and it was perfect.
My dream went a like this: My closest friends, Hannah, Huda, Xenisz, Shanelle, Ellis & Diyanah went over to my house. They locked me inside my room to watch some hilarious movie with my family (so i could spend time with my family on my birthday too, because that's what i really wanted), while they bake a cake & cook some chicken for me. I sneaked out of the room & saw them destroying my kitchen. I'm pretty sure it'd anger anyone with a right mind but nah, I was all giddy and stuff so i thought to myself  "I can't believe they're doing this just for me". But none of them can cook for nuts, so me, being the delightful & initiative FNN student EVER, tried acting like some smarty pants and attempted to fry the chicken myself. I don't really know what happened next but it exploded right in my face (like those in cartoons, you know what im sayinnn). We all laughed & went out of the house to go on some adventure (because i'm an adventurous gal you see) *winkwink*.


And that was the end of my dream.
So when i woke up on my birthday, I was feeling all sorts of emotions. I was excited, guilty, nervous, happy, sad, & blahblahblah. (I just realised how formal i've been sounding so far..). If you wanna know why i felt that way, I have to start on another story. Which I'm about to tell right now.

Well basically, I've never spent my birthday with my friends. I've spent the last 15 birthdays with my family because it's like some sort of tradition in our family (cheers to those who can relate). I've never went out with my friends because i thought it was plain wrong. But this year, Hannah, Ellis, Huda, Xen & Shanelle already planned to go out with me on my birthday to Sentosa. & It wasn't a last minute thing, i think. They've actually planned for weeks already (screw me if i'm wrong). So i guiltily asked my parents if i could go out with my friends on my birthday.
My mom encouraged me but my dad said "You know how parents always asks for offdays just for their children's birthday? Yeah so it's quite funny that you'd rather spend your special day with your friends rather than your family." No dad, no. ;-; I was actually looking forward to spending my birthday with my family. It's just in me. I wanted them to be there on my birthday, of course.. I mean, who doesn't? So anyway, they obviously let me off (with a heavy heart that made my heart heavier) (so dramatic). Bleh. So yeah.

7th June 2014.

Before i took a bath, I was panicking because i thought nobody would go to Sentosa with me. Who would even want to go to Sentosa alone? (especially on my birthday) (it's too lonely). I read whatsapp and Hannah said that she was going herself, Xen & Shanelle are going together, and Huda's gonna get her parents to send her there. So basically, i was like "fml", but thank god Hannah decided to be nice & waited for me at bedok at about 12.15pm-ish. When i got there, we saw Huda & Xenisz(?)'s snapchats. They were already at the sea aquarium without us.. And they didn't even ask us if we wanted to come along.. So obviously me & hannah got offended. lalalalala shit happens between hannah & them & everything screwed up. Hannah didn't want to go anymore & idk, i just felt like ultimate shit because...
1. it's my birthday
2. my bestfriends are fighting
3. i felt guilty about not celebrating it with my family instead

So yeah basically at that point of time (1-3pm), i thought that it was the worst day ever. Worst birthday ever. Shittiest day of my life. And just as i thought it could not get worse, it poured. It rained heavily like maaaaaaaaaaaaaad crazy. It was so depressing i swear i couldn't take it ;-;

But after it stopped raining, Hannah decided to make my birthday less shittier so we went on the luge & skyline thrice. HAHAHA. It was really fun ah despite the extremeelyyy long queue. I had to go at 6pm so after going for it thrice, we had to go home already.
I went home & celebrated with my family afterwards! (yay #FamilyFTW)

It obviously wasn't the BEST birthday ever, but it will do because i got to celebrate it with people i love & truly care about ^-^ Also, I LOVE DEM GIFTS. HAHAHA i've never received so much gifts before in my life so... YAY FOR ME.
